A modern bridge replacement strengthening a critical freight corridor, improving safety, load capacity and long-term reliability for the Snowy Monaro region.

The Parsonage Creek Bridge replacement transformed an ageing crossing into a wider, higher-capacity bridge designed to support freight movements, improve safety, and provide dependable access for local communities and industry.
Parsonage Creek Bridge is located on Delegate Road within the Snowy Monaro region of New South Wales. The region covers more than 15,000 square kilometres and supports a diverse economy built on agriculture, forestry, tourism, and regional industry.
The bridge forms an important part of the local transport network, providing access for residents, freight operators, and timber producers. Reliable transport infrastructure is essential to supporting economic activity across the region.
Investigations determined that full replacement of the existing bridge was the most viable long-term solution. As a key freight route, the new structure needed to accommodate heavier vehicle loads while improving safety for all road users.
The project also required a solution that could be delivered within a defined programme and funding framework. Balancing performance, constructability, and whole-of-life value was critical to achieving the project's objectives.
InQuik provided a bridge solution that met the project's technical, programme, and budget requirements while supporting local delivery objectives. The new 37.5-metre-long, 10-metre-wide bridge was designed to meet both T44 and SM1600 loading standards, ensuring it can support current and future freight demands.
Its semi-integral design delivers a robust, low-maintenance structure with a 100-year design life. By utilising local contractors and council resources throughout construction, the project delivered both infrastructure and economic benefits to the surrounding community.
