Australian bridge technology company InQuik has been named the recipient of the 2026 IABCA Excellence in Innovation Award, recognising its contribution to infrastructure innovation and its role in strengthening commercial ties between Australia and India.

Presented by the India Australia Business & Community Alliance (IABCA), the award honours organisations delivering innovative solutions while fostering stronger connections between the two nations.

The recognition marks another significant milestone as InQuik's modular bridge construction system has helped transform the delivery of bridge infrastructure by reducing construction time, improving safety outcomes, and minimising disruption to communities and road users.

Since commercialisation in 2017, the InQuik system has been deployed on more than 250 bridge projects across Australia, the Pacific and the United States. The company's growth has been underpinned by a commitment to challenging traditional construction methods and providing practical solutions to infrastructure delivery challenges.

Earlier this year, InQuik expanded its international footprint with the installation of its first modular bridge in India. The project was delivered in collaboration with Tata Steel, Sagar Business Ventures Limited and PNC Infratech Ltd., representing a paramount step in bringing Australian-engineered technology to one of the world's largest and fastest growing infrastructure markets.

Company representatives said the award recognises more than technological innovation alone, highlighting the importance of international partnerships in driving infrastructure advancement.

The successful introduction of InQuik technology into India demonstrates how collaboration between organisations across borders can accelerate the adoption of innovative construction solutions while addressing shared infrastructure challenges.

InQuik acknowledged the support of IABCA, Deakin University and the award judging panel, and congratulated fellow finalists and winners recognised as part of the 2026 awards program.

The company also credited its employees, partners and customers for helping drive the continued development and deployment of the technology, noting that the achievement reflects years of engineering expertise, collaboration and a shared commitment to delivering practical infrastructure solutions.

The award reinforces InQuik's growing reputation as an Australian infrastructure innovator and highlights the increasing global demand for construction technologies that enable faster, safer and more efficient project delivery.
